Promise of Happiness Project

A report by the Indian government’s Planning Commission estimated that 363 million Indians, making up 29.5% of the total population, were living below their $2.40 poverty line in 2012. Many of these families have difficulty providing clothing for their children, much less educational or leisure items.

That’s why a group of caring individuals came together to create the Promise of Happiness, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring moments of happiness to the children in poverty through donations of toys, books, shoes and clothing.
